Diesel engines consume much more air at a higher rate than most gas vehicles. The speed of air flow is referred to in cubic feet per minute (CFM). The higher the CFM, the more difficult it is to stop the contaminants from getting into the vehicles engine. S&B designed a 2 different filters specifically targeting the diesel marketplace. One using 8-layers of cotton, and a proprietary oil formula and 30 years of experience making filters. The other filter is a dry disposable filter. The result is a Performance Air Filter that greatly improves the air flow while still protecting your diesel.
